I, along with many others, served with 799 Company RASC (AD) whilst at Batu Caves Malaya and remained with the Unit after the renumbering to 55 Company RASC (AD). I was with the unit form 1949 to 1952. The Malay members on the photograph were probably the founder members of their own Air Despatch Units.

Can anyone add further names for the photograph?
I knew all those killed when Valetta VX540 crashed on 2 August 1952. Brian Dagg, Frank McShane and Alan Whitty flew with me as a crew just prior to me departing the Airfield to Singapore to await a vacancy on a ship to return home. This still remains a sad personal memory. Kenny (Cheddar) Cheeseman told me that he was nominated to drop the wreath over the crash site and was also at the funeral of one body following the crash.
